The Threat From the Deep
You encountered these pale reptilians in Clifftop, as they rose from a hidden dungeon built into the cliffside to ravage the settlement. Hardy and cunning, these albino lizardfolk are accustomed to life without the sun. Their eyes and nostrils are large, and their skin is white and mottled grey. They live in darkness, and seem to hold nothing but malice for the surface world.
The band you encountered in of their cliffside stronghold seem to have been employed as mercenaries. Who hired them to attack Clifftop (and why) you don’t know, but it is a mystery you aim to solve – as well as finding out the origin of the strange mark on the gold and on the floor of the reptilian shrine.
The chieftain of the reptiles who attacked Clifftop was an imposing specimen, standing six feet tall and was much more powerful than his underlings. Before you fought, he invoked a name you didn’t recognize: “Ixthiza”. Whether this is the name of a deity, the reptile’s master, or something else entirely is unknown. On his body you found a wooden block with the sigil stamped on the coins found in the treasury as well as on the floor of the shrine room. The identity of the chieftain’s masters and why Cliffport was attacked is all somehow connected to that mysterious mark.
